Kavir National Park is a protected ecological zone in northern Iran. It has an area of 4,000 square kilometers. The park is located 120 kilometers south of Tehran and 100 kilometers east of Qom, and it sits on the western end of one of Iran's two major deserts, the Dasht-e Kavir (Great Salt Desert). Siahkuh (Black Mountain), a large, semi-circular rock outcropping sits in roughly the park's center.

Golestan National Park is a National Park in Iran. It is situated in Golestan Province between the eastern parts of the Albosz Mountains and the western fringes of the khorasan-Kopet Dag. It comprises 91,890 ha. Golestan National Park reaches from 1000 to 1400 m above sea level and has a variety of habitats, like temperate broad leaf forests, graslands, shrubs and rocky areas.

Sisangan National Park is a natural forest and the plains of northern Iran, the composition and diversity of forest tree species has its charm. Oak trees in the forest park of over two meters in diameter and Shamshad and maple species can be seen in the area.

The Tehran Zoological Garden, also known as Eram Zoo, is located 4 kilometer on the Tehran - Karaj Expressway in the Eram amusement Park. This zoo covers an area of 5 hectares and was inaugurated in 1992, housing over more than 290 species.

National Botanical Garden of Iran is a Botanical Garden in Tehran, Iran. Its area is about 150 hectares and is planned to be the main center for horticulture and plant taxonomy in Iran.

Khar Turan National Park is a National Park in Iran. It is situated in Semnan province, southeast of Shahrud. With a size of 1.4 million ha it is the second largest reserve in Iran. Kahr Turan is home to one of the largest populations of the critically endangered Asiatic cheetah. There are about 12-15 of these charismatic cats in the National Park area. Occasional reports of females with cubs indicate a breeding and perhaps growing population. In addition, Khar Turan has the largest population of Persian onager and two species of gazelles, the goitered gazelle and the Indian gazelle, both in good numbers.
